No Lone Gunman

After all this time, the UN investigation into Rafik Hariri’s death has concluded that a network of people were responsible. Previous reports had pointed at Syria, but this one names no names. That’s all folks! If this inquiry finds anything now I’ll be very surprised.

We’re not even told the identity of those states which resisted Brammertz’ inquiry. Everything is going fine now except:

[…] the report identifies some problems hampering the investigation – including the “deteriorating” security situation in Lebanon, and a lack of resources from the UN itself.

Maybe my paranoia is high today.
